Tuition and Fees

Tuition costs are different for Connecticut residents and out-of-state students. Complete information is available at Fees and Expenses.

Financial Aid
Complete financial aid information is available from the SCSU Financial Aid site. A limited amount of financial aid is awarded by SCSU to those students who can demonstrate financial need and who apply for financial aid by the stated deadlines. Financial aid cannot be viewed as the primary source that a student uses to pay University charges.

The types of financial aid available include grants and scholarships, student loans, student employment, federal work-study program, veterans’ benefits, tuition waiver for veterans, and Connecticut National Guard tuition waiver (full-time students). Click to these sites for further information.

You can also click to Financial aid—external sites for information about student aid from the U. S. Department of Education, FinAid, and—for an interest-free payment plan--Academic Management Services.

Monthly Tuition Payment Plan
For students and parents who find it more convenient to make monthly payments, SCSU offers a tuition installment plan administered by Academic Management Service (AMS) of Swansea, MA. Full-time students may budget all or part of the semester tuition and fees over a four-month payment period for a fee of $40. There is a limited enrollment period for this plan, with an initial payment date of December 1.

Interested students may request additional information about the plan by calling AMS at 1-800-635-0120. Brochures explaining the budget plan are available in the Bursar’s Office, EN 127 (203-392-6140).
